That was some wait...
Well it was St George's Day when I last posted here...nearly a full 2 months! That's like 1/6th of a year, 2/9ths of a human gestation period or 2/1 pay days!
So...summary of what's going on in my life now....
Well looking forward to starting my Optometry degree in Cardiff in September. Hoping that a special ladyfriend of mine will still be up for a date and things could progress from there. Who knows...I am only human.
Paranormal activities is still going well - Ghosts...and More is still going strong. Just looking to get the links and hits continuously coming in. Eventually they will...I hope.
Anyway, World Cup is on, lets get back to watching it!

Gah...Illness is no fun!

Achoooo!!!!
Yeah, probably had you annoyed at the first "Aaaahh".
So was up most of last night coughing and spluttering and sneezing and tossing and turning and fidgeting and worrying...way too much going on. I hate being ill - especially as there is so much work to be done, not only at my workplace, but also at home on my paranormal hobby.
So, felt really bad calling in work ill again. 3 days off is shocking for me. Grr...I should be scanning eyes.
Well, at least being home means I could sort out a few niggly things with my website, www.ghostsandmore.info. Just a few tweaks and a basic update and I'm done. Also getting hooked on a few forum - I'm on the x360achievement forum, Talk Paranormal and now searching for many other paranormal forums. I believe the more I connect to people, the more allies in the field and the more likely we will find some proof that paranormal activity actually happens and get the real brain boffins to have a look.
I have a ghost meeting tonight actually, hoping to get that sorted so that we can visit Portsmouth for another hunt. For the time being though, more forum searching and MW2 playing.
Hopefully I'll be feeling better tomorrow!

Ghosts...and More
Hello...anybody here?
Thought it was about time to utilise this blog!
Since the last post, many things have happened. I have set up my own website and from that formed a paranormal research group, Ghosts...and More. The website is www.ghostsandmore.info if you wanted to take a peek. I have also been offered a place to study Optometry at Cardiff University in September, so looking to divert my studying time to learn more about the eye.
So things are beginning to look up right now - lots to do and lots to look forward to. Lets just hope this sodding cold goes quickly too!

Maybe too quick to say a perfect life...
Hello again, it's time for the hippyman update.
Well, since I last posted my world has been turned into an emotional rollercoaster. I've split up with my now ex-girlfriend. Kind of blows a little, not particularly what either of us probably wanted, but I believe that it was the only real option before we both lost our sanity. Ah well, shit happens and life goes on. No regrets and all that.
Work has been interesting, well sort of. Work is work and it's as interesting as you make it. Luckily, I've been wanting to take my mind off things, so I've found interest in the most boring of tasks. The glaucoma clinic on Monday morning was extremely drawn out - lasting until the afternoon clinics. Met some very interesting people and just kept going. Other clinics have been fascinating, with a few odd cases requiring imaging.
I also attended a training day. Small group of 8 trust employees just on a customer service course for the whole day was great fun. It was fairly easy as I've attended plenty of customer services in the past during my previous employments. It was, nonetheless, great fun. Part of the course involved mystery shopping other hospitals within the trust and testing the staff on their customer service skills. Very interesting in how different people treat patients. I guess if more people attended this course, the quality would improve. It was good, especially the trainer.
As for other things, I'm struggling to remember. Had a sudden fascination with bluetooth fetures on mobile phones. I think it is a rather scary concept that there is software out there that enables you to hack into other peoples' phones. I tried one of the programs and tried to hack into my sister's phone (with her permission of course). I was able to access her phonebook, text messages and even make a call. Pretty damn frightening really - so many ways that can be exploited. People SWITCH OFF YOUR BLUETOOTH!
Bought a book, which looks very similar to the plot of Assassins Creed. We shall see - pretty heavy going in some chapters, but not so in others. It has, in fact, now encouraged me to want to play it right now. I also have the urge to get Forza 3 tomorrow as well. But Not sure if I will play it enough to warrant it. we shall see...
Well, thats just an update - lots of stuff going on and things to sort out, but I promise to write a post that is a little self-centred and more rounded review on a topic more worthwhile soon. And get more colours in the text. and actually upload a photo or a video. That might be rather interesting.
Right, off to watch the rest of the Fulham vs Roma football match on the TV.

So I've decided to start a blog...
Well hello there. It's Jason here, also known online as hippyman. I'm not a hippy, honestly - the creation of hippyman is a long story and I'm sure I'll get around to explaining it to you one day. Maybe. Well, make that certainly.
So, I guess this being the first post in my blog, you may want to know a bit about me. Not wanting to give to much away too early (I do want some mystery about me), I'm a 21-year old male from Yate, near Bristol (that's in the south west of the UK for those that don't have the privilege of being a resident on this bizarre island.
I have a great family set up - still living at home with Eileen, my mum, Chris, my stepdad, Rebecca, my sister, Alex, my stepbrother and rough collie called Max. My sister also owns a little demon thing, also known as a budgie, that makes a hell of a lot of noise and pretty much annoys everyone that meets it. I also have another stepbrother that lives with his mum. His name is Nathan.
In addition to my wonderful family, I have a fabulous girlfriend called Gemma. She is fab. Kind of makes me understand the meanings of the lyrics in love songs and compels me to think in poetry. Aww, yeah, Jason has finally fallen in love and is all lovey-dovey. All that in 3-months. Love you Gem!
My friends compliment the family and partner - Rich, John, Hollie, Bill, Simon, Toni, Mike, Leanne, Jake and the rest (actually all having a link to the retail company GAME, which I used to work for). Complete range of characters, all completely barmy. But wouldn't change them for the world.
I also enjoy the company of my colleagues at my workplace at the Bristol Eye Hospital (I'm a photographer there). Abi, Charlotte, Des, Gill, Hannah, Helen, Rebecca, Steph and Steve - my department, my team. Again, a range of characters, but this lot aren't completely barmy. Without them, work would be a drag each day. The fact that all the doctors, nursing staff and the hard workers in medical records are pleasant makes going to work a pleasure.
Finally, a quick run through my hobbies - I'm a BRISTOL ROVERS supporter, which can be a good thing (honestly...we aren't fickle as Bristol City supporters). I have a season ticket and try to go to some away games where possible. I also enjoy gaming. I used to work for GAME (as mentioned above) so gaming will always have a big part in my life. I prefer the Xbox 360 (PS3 is crap, sorry Sony fanboys, but the truth hurts!) and enjoy Xbox Live. My Gamertag is JASON BRFC. My other hobby is photography. This is mainly to do with work (I take photos of eyes all day). But nothing is more satisfying than capturing a perfect image, playing around and getting the most amazing photograph. If you are lucky, you may get a glimpse of my pictures!
Well, I think I've said a lot for my first post. It covers a bit about me. I will blog whenever I can. It seems fun. My life isn't overly interesting, but I guess there are some highlights that people may find amusing. If you've liked what you've read then follow me. I'd like that :p
